This is Art, a 14-year-old living in Moshchun, Ukraine, where missing a call from Mom can mean life or death. Art and his mom sheltered in their root cellar while occupying troops were in their town. Even after returning home, the threat of enemy occupation remained, making immediate and stable communication between Art and his mom vital.
When we moved Art and his mom into their new home, we provided them with money for groceries, and our founder, Ryan, gave Art $100 for himself. At first, Art selflessly gave it to his mom, not mentioning that his cellphone had broken that day. With tears, his mom shared their story, highlighting the importance of reliable communication with her only son during these uncertain times.
Thanks to your generosity, Art now has a new phone to talk with his mom and friends, easing his mother’s worries and keeping him safe. We’re not just building homes; we’re supporting families and helping kids like Art never miss a call from their mom.
Thank you for your support in making these life-changing differences for families like Art’s.
