At Hope and Horizons, we believe the two deepest needs of every human are simple: to belong, and to matter.
That’s why we don’t just hand families a set of keys — we remind them they’re not forgotten. They belong. They matter.
This week, I’m preparing to leave for Ukraine to place the keys into the hands of the Shkabura family.
After more than three years in a crowded shelter — with a disabled father and grandmother, a single mom raising her little boy, in difficult conditions — they will finally have a home again.
Thanks to generous churches and friends, they’ll know the answer to those deep questions:
You matter. You belong. This is your home.
And here’s what I want you to hear today: You matter to me, and you belong here.
As part of the Hope and Horizons family, your prayers and your generous participation in this work — what you do matters. Thank you.
By praying with us, you are part of seeing these stories move forward.
Whether you give, go, or pray — there’s always a way to give people hope for a better day. That’s exactly what’s happening, and it’s because of you.
We are building something beautiful together.
With gratitude,
Josh Hackworth
